Notice to AAMA members and subscribers to Maritime Studies

The journal of the Australian Association for Maritime Affairs is to be renamed The Australian Journal of Maritime and Ocean Affairs (AJMOA). The first issue of the renamed journal, which is to be published four times a year, will be available at the end of March.

Australian Maritime Safety Authority
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority is the national safety agency with a primary role in maritime safety, protection of the marine environment and maritime and aviation search and rescue. It is governed by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority Act 1990 and is a commonwealth authority under the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997.

Australian Marine Environment Protection Association (AUSMEPA)
AUSMEPA provides free educational resources to young Australians and to seafarers on ships visiting Australian ports, about the marine environment and the importance of its protection for future generations. AUSMEPA also increases community understanding of the maritime industries role in marine environment management and sustainable practices.
